Pilgrimage for the CCR in cooperation with Kairos Pilgrimages and ORP

Pentecost in Rome with Pope Francis for an explosive outburst of the Holy Spirit and a dynamic harvest of mercy and grace worldwide.

Pilgrimage Itinerary

 

Tuesday, May 30  •  Arrival in Rome

Pick up by our ORP Pastoral Assistant Transportation to the hotel. Guided walk and visit from Coliseum to Via Dei Fori imperiali, Carcere Mamertino (St. Paul and Peter’s prison), Esquilino Hill, Venezia Square etc. Check in hotel, dinner and overnight.

Wednesday, May 31–June 4  •  Rome

General Audience. Beginning of ICCRS program, transportation and meals included every day. During these days we can propose a daily walk with our Pastoral Assistant in Rome city center: Piazza Navona, Piazza di Spagna, Pantheon and other major churches and lesser known churches.

Sunday, June 4  •  Rome

End of ICCRS Program with Pentecost with Pope Francis..

Monday, June 5  •  Assisi

Driving by coach to Assisi. Stop at Santa Maria degli Angeli and meeting with our English speaking professional guide for a visit of the Basilica. Transportation to the old city. Mass, time for personal prayers. In the afternoon after lunch, guided visit of the sites related to St. Francis and St. Claire including San Damiano (optional by walk). Accommodation in the old city if possible. Dinner and overnight.

Tuesday, June 6  •  Lucca

Free time.  Departure to Lucca after early lunch. Arrival mid-afternoon, guided visit of the shrine St. Agostino that contains the relics of the Blessed Elena Guerra. Mass there. Free time dinner and overnight.

Wednesday, June 7   •  Lucca

Half day guided visits in Lucca. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Lucca.

Thursday, June 8  •  Orvieto – Rome

Departure to Orvieto. Visit the Cathedral and the Eucharistic Miracle. Continue our drive back to Rome. Dinner and overnight.

Friday, June 9  •  Rome

Visit of the Vatican gardens (unique visit with ORP), Vatican Museum, Vatican Excavation (if available), St. Peter’s Basilica. Mass in St. Peter’s (if possible). Free time, dinner and overnight in Rome.

Saturday, June 10  •  Rome

Guided visit of St. John in Lateran including, Cloister and Holy Stairs, followed by the visit of St. Mary Major and St. Paul Outside the Wall (if there is time available). Free time, dinner and overnight in Rome

Sunday June 11  •  Departure

Transfer to airport and flight back home.

The price includes:

  • 12 overnights at religious hotel (or similar, semi-central area, according to what is available at the moment of first payment)
  • Dinner at hotel, or restaurant every day (water included)
  • 13 meals/lunches at restaurant during the visits (water included)
  • Professional English speaking guide for the visits as per the program
  • Whispers for the guided visits when compulsory
  • Admittance fee at sites, according to the program
  • English speaking ORP/Kairos Assistant from arrival to departure
  • Private deluxe air-conditioned coaches & bus parking fees as per the program
  • Admittance ticket to the Papal Audience

 

The price does not include:

  • International flight*
  • Excavation of St Peter’s Basilica (to be added to the quotation only if the visit is confirmed by the Office of Excavations)
  • Insurance (we highly recommend purchasing medical, baggage, and cancellation insurance)
  • Tips (not compulsory in Italy, but offered for  good service)
  • Rome hotel city taxes
  • Beverages and Extras

  • ICCRS 4-day events not included. We will assist with registrations when available.

Airfares not available yet:  Budget about US$ 1,200 for round-trip flights from NY or CAD 1,200 from Toronto.

Refunds will be assessed according to fees imposed by hotel & local suppliers and our policy and terms and conditions.
